Chalcedony has a smooth, waxy glow with colour held in fibres too fine to see. It is microcrystalline silica made mainly of quartz, commonly with variable moganite. Crocidolite
Crocidolite is a fine fibrous blue amphibole. When silicified or altered, related fibres contribute to hawk's eye and tiger's eye. Loose fibres are hazardous if inhaled, so specimens should remain sealed and undisturbed. In modern crystal practice, it is chosen for intuition, clarity, and psychic awareness.

Crocidolite can occur in large deposits and is not geologically rare. Collectible loose fibres are less commonly handled because the asbestos habit is hazardous and requires secure containment.
