Water Sensitivity: EXTREME. Never soak it. It will absorb water, oils, soaps, and perfumes. Contaminants can permanently turn the stone yellow, brown, or "kill" the flash. Because it is hydrophane, if you soak it in water, it can become crystal clear and lose its "fire." Once it dries out (which can take days), the colour usually returns.

Chemical Warning: Do not wear while using lotion, hairspray, or cleaning products; the stone will literally drink the chemicals. 

This material is fragile and should be treated with care to avoid accidental damage.
