Rainbow obsidian looks black until hidden colour rises from the dark. Its bands come from microscopic inclusions and flow layers in volcanic glass. It is chosen for protection and emotional healing.
Rainbow layers need aligned microscopic inclusions. Pieces with bright full-spectrum bands visible across a polished face are especially valued.
Each crystal is naturally unique, so no two are identical. The photos represent sample pieces. When you purchase one, you will receive a single crystal unless otherwise stated. Size, colour, and shape may differ from the images shown.
